The car was sent to United States where it would be run in the 1997 North American Touring Car Championship by TC Kline Racing, with Randy Pobst wining the Independents title.

In August 2023, the car was sold at Sotherby's Monterey auction to a German buyer and would be returned to CiBiEmme livery
